I have a bachelor's degree in Economics and Information Technology at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.

I also have a master's degree in Finance and another one in Project Management, both at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. First one is actually a master's degree in Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange, completed at the Doctoral School of Finance and Banking (DOFIN). Don't be fooled by the name, it's not a doctorate.

I'm also an ACCA member since 2019. And that makes me a certified accountant.

I'm not showing off. I must fill all this education section with something.

I was employed for many years in banks, and back then I thought I should learn more economics for my work. I probably used for work maybe 10% of what I majored in Economics and Finance. So my economic and finance studies remained mostly theoretical, with limited practice.

My work experience is in IT. I worked over the years as application developer, DBA, SQL developer, reporting and Data Warehouse developer.

The company I was working for has been taken over in 2018 by a competitor, so they offered me a redundancy package. I took the offer and started this company.

I wanted to become a full stack developer. I had to broaden my knowledge in PHP and PHP frameworks, so I started learning Zend / Laminas and Magento frameworks. The problem with Laminas, and in particular with PHP, is that it doesn’t provide a frontend graphical user interface. One has to be developed from scratch.

So I had to change my learning strategy, by studying JavaScript, CSS, SASS, Node.js and React.js. The advantage with JavaScript is that it has applicability for both backend and frontend.
